Newport Jazz Festival

The Newport Jazz Festival is an annual event steeped in the vibrance and culture of jazz. A visual identity was created for the 2024 festival. The branding emphasizes the playful improvisational nature of jazz with the use a variety of rich jewel toned circles. The five black lines are a nod to the five lines of a musical staff. An iconic saxophone offers an instant association with jazz music. The Art Deco typeface was chosen to highlight the jazz era of the 1920’s. This visual language has been used to create promotional assets and merchandise.
